People do appreciate the DS over here, but probably the most common dream car to restore is a Jaguar Mk. 2, as used by Chief Inspector Morse on the TV series with the same name. There are a lot of the older MGs on the road. I think the only reason you don’t see a lot of elderly restored minis is that you can still buy brand new ones.

Annette won’t be on the road for a long time. The chap who’s restoring her for me has a reputation of doing a good job—eventually! I’m currently driving The Dragon, a silver grey Citroën CX. It’s a youthful 11 years old, and is a lovely car to drive but doesn’t have the looks of a DS.
