I’ve received my Luxembourg papers, so feel thoroughly, utterly, a citizen.
It felt great, picking things up. It was like getting a poem published in a top–notch magazine. It follows more than three years of solid work — I’d started learning Luxembourgish before the Brexit referendum.
I am, thank Gordon Bennett, now thoroughly insulated from the insanity of the British government’s intention to steal their own citizens’ rights and freedoms. Brexit is one thing, intending to steal freedom of movement from people is quite another.
Villmools Merci, Lëtzebuerg. Merci beaucoup, Luxembourg. Vielen Dank, Luxemburg. Thank you, Luxembourg. Dank u wel, Luxemburg.
