For what it’s worth, I’m happy to say that, a couple of weeks ago, I passed Chinese HSK 1. That’s the equivalent of A1:1, the absolute beginners’ course.
I wasn’t even bottom of the class, although I made a pretty good attempt to get there.
I’ll continue learning the language.
