Here are some sample GEM applications, mostly originally released by Digital Research in the UK:

Alarm (84.9K) shows a GEM application (written by me) talking to a DOS Plus background program;
Cube (69.2K) draws a rotating cube illustrating drawing techniques;
Display (36.2K) illustrates writing a desktop accessory, to display the contents of a file;
Terminal (56.5K) illustrates writing a desktop accessory, a terminal emulator;
Training samples (136K), used by Digital Research on their GEM Programmers' course.
