depending on the perspective

or a lack of tea

across the fenced alley
between the backs of desks
i see my neighbour’s
thé vert

the temptation would be strong
where mass commercial thé vert
in a teabag
anything like as good as
mass commercial thé vert
in a pot

it’s not the bag or pot debate
that’s mostly daft
it’s the crap quality of tea
manufacturers usually put in bags

like most
quality versus common distinctions
it’s entirely manufactured
and entirely non–existent
artificial divides
created by the selfish
to part the rest of us
from the product of our skills

lies
basically
for no good goal
